The History Lessons You Never Had

Steve McQueen’s Small Axe films tell the incredible stories of Britains West Indian communities during the 1960s to the 80s.

While working on the campaign, we found out that black history isn’t mandatory on the national curriculum. CRAZY!

So we created ‘The History Lessons You Never Had’. Working in collaboration with BBC Teach and director Steve McQueen, we turned each of his 5 films into easy to use resources that teachers can build into their curriculum.
